Lights! Lights! Lights! The words echo through the squad bay and ring through the ears of everyone that is within a 4 block radius.
Within 30 seconds, 60+ recruits have their rack made, are dressed and standing tall at the foot of the rack, waiting for the next command.
Now, 120 seconds are counted down as recruits rush to the “head” to shit, shower, shave. Times up, back on line.
Not everyone completed the task in time, those poor innocent souls will spend the next 180 seconds on the quarter deck raining early morning pain to their weak, broken body.
Each and every day is broken down into seconds and 100% accounted for. Life as you knew it is gone. Privacy and freedom are long forgotten. These are the moments that prepare one to earn a title that less than 1percent of Americans could ever earn.
The blood, sweat and tears forge together a brotherhood that can never be replaced. The title “Marine” is something so delicate, so special that those that earn the title, keep it for the rest of their life.
Marines are the tip of the spear. Willing to answer the call at a moments notice and give up their life for family, country and brotherhood.
Our Marines are one of a kind and you will never find a group of rebellious, loudmouth, arrogant, professional men and woman like United States Marines.
No matter what war is fought, Marines will conquer. On duty and off duty, active duty and civilian duty. Once a Marine, always a Marine.
The way they walk, the way they talk, confidence consumes them. Failure is not an option. Shake their hand, don’t be scared. We have your back even if you don’t have ours!
Semper Fidelis – Always Faithful we will be. We don’t give up and we don’t give in. We will be your best friend or your worst enemy, you decide!
