A Warriors Struggle

A look into struggles that so many of us face

October 2015

Veterans Voice 2015

We volunteered to serve our country with Pride and Dignity.

We gave up a normal life for a life full of discipline, structure, pain, war, blood and loss.

Many of us did not make it home. For those of us that did – we get welcomed with grief, chaos, broken systems, physical and mental illnesses and a slew of other problems.

We don’t get treated like heroes, nor should we. The heroes paid the ultimate price so we could come home and so you can sleep safe at night

We deserve more than what we get. We don’t ask for much – this is what we want : Respect, acceptance into society, real help with our service related issues and for the system to follow through with their promises…

America, we call on you to join with us. Support us as we fight for what we deserve. Suicide, Financial Hardship, Homelessness and Addiction are just a few struggles we face day to day.

We want you to hear our Warrior Cry! We can raise our voices loud enough to shake every mountain on earth. We had your back, now have ours.

Join the movement to make a change!

It Could Always Be Worse

We often get put in situations that we think are impossible to overcome.

We get down on our self and see no way out.

Anger, Disappointment, Helplessness and Fear overcome our emotions.

There is no end in sight and darkness overwhelms our thoughts.

This feeling stings worse than 100 bees and seems to last longer than any dream.

Our mind is clouded and we only see the worst. Our hope is gone and so is our joy.

Right before the moment of destruction a vision we see.

Someone we may not even know, overcoming something so worse.

The light turns on and we fight with every bit of strength.

We realize we are not alone and use the power of numbers to get over the obstacle.

In our weakest moments always remember, it could always be worse.

Pray for Mexico

The world watches from afar, as a country braces for the worst

The waves follow the wind as they come crashing into the land

Panic fills the street as a mighty force swallows everything in its path

It only takes one moment to ruin a lifetime, this moment has ruined many

In a blink of an eye, lives are lost and left in ruins

Joy and happiness have turned into fear and sorrow

When the wind has stopped howling and the water has receded

We will be there to help pick up whatever pieces are left behind

In times like these we put aside any differences and focus on whats important – Human Life

We stand together as one nation and hold the hands of every color

Together we feel your sorrow and will do what we can to bring you life again

Pray for Mexico.
